I just woke up, in the middle of the night, from a vivid dream. My soul and my physical self were two beings. My soul was pushing me and I slapped it on the face. We were both upset. My mum comforted my soul and put it to bed. I went to bed too and we made peace. Everything felt better.

Writing has a soul too. The technical side, such as grammar, is very important, obviously, but your novel or poem must have a soul. It should move the readers. Good writing will leave an impression. It should have a deeper meaning. These things are the soul, and it’s important to remember to focus on them, as well as the technical aspects of writing.
