I feel overwhelmed lately. I have so many things on my mind, it’s chaos. I have an open class coming up and have to prepare science lessons, I’m worrying about how to save money, I’m doing badly on my diet. I’m not writing. I feel like a failure. So I came up with a plan.
For today, I will focus on one thing only. I chose to focus on my diet. If I can control that today, I will feel a small measure of success. It will hopefully get me back on track. It’s the same with writing. If you’re overwhelmed, try not to worry about the pressure of the half written novels and just aim for a smaller target.
