I have always wanted to be a writer. I remember typing out stories and letters on a little blue plastic typewriter my parents bought me one Christmas. In high school, I was always designing book covers and inventing exotic pen names. I studied creative writing with the Open University when I did my degree.

I have had a break of a few years, from writing, due to developing depression. I felt I could not create anything. Now I feel different, more like myself again. Perhaps I will never be published, but I will enjoy writing regardless. Today is just an ordinary Monday, but it is significant for me as this is a small beginning.
