Well the wheels came off a bit today. I was doing okay until the afternoon. I bought some Kinder biscuits for my students, after going to Subway for lunch, and the temptation of the chocolate was too much. I ate a few. When I got home, I ate my usual salad but I had mayonnaise on my seafood sticks and poured a glass of red wine too. Rather than give up, as I usually would, I told myself I can start afresh tomorrow.

At least it’s the weekend too. It seemed like a long week teaching and my energy was depleted by 6.35 pm. I was glad to climb in the car and get home. We’re going to his sister’s home for the weekend. It’s a 2.5 hour drive into the country and I enjoy the trip. Often I look at the scenery and compose haiku. I’m looking forward to the drive on Saturday morning and resting in their Korean sauna or jjimjilbang.
