I ran some after school clubs and he gave me a reference when I applied for my first ESL teaching job here in South Korea.

I told him I was going to be a teacher in the dream and he said “Let’s face it Melanie, it’s not about the teaching, it’s about the writing!” I’ve never forgotten that. I think my subconscious was using someone, who’s opinion I respected, to try and get through to me about the importance of writing in my life.
