According to an article I read recently, stationery is making a comeback amongst the young. Perhaps it’s a form of nostalgia for things from before the digital age, because I heard somewhere that film cameras are popular now too. I think these analogue items create an atmosphere or style that can’t be replicated by modern technology.

We live in an ultra tiny place, and I have no space for books or journals. I used to buy lovely notebooks, with smooth, creamy paper. I’d fill them with poetry, photos, scraps from magazines etc. Now my setup is a Kindle for reading and an old Samsung tablet plus folding keyboard to write. The technology has benefits. However, I miss the handwritten notes and the mix of media which could provide inspiration.
