We watched two movies at the weekend. First we watched Nobody 2 with Bob Odenkirk, Christopher Lloyd and Sharon Stone on Saturday. Then we watched The Naked Gun with Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson on Sunday. Maybe it’s just us but we were underwhelmed. Nobody 2 gave us a few chuckles but the plot was thin and The Naked Gun, for us, just did not live up to the hype. I don’t know if Spoofs are my thing because I didn’t find it funny. I remember laughing my head off at Dumb and Dumber years ago though so I do have a sense of humour. Maybe I just wasn’t in the right mood.

We went out for dinner on Sunday night. We went to eat samgyupsal (grilled pork belly). The restaurant was packed with diners, couples, families, and friends, and had a good atmosphere. The meat was delicious and I particularly enjoyed the grilled kimchi. I can’t eat kimchi often anymore as corona virus left me unable to tolerate spicy foods, but tonight the kimchi was mild enough for me to eat. It annoys me greatly that I can’t eat Indian, Thai, Mexican or Korean foods anymore. I used to love spicy foods.

Korea has great beauty products but the choice was bewildering. I bought a serum and moisturiser (Biodance) as well as lip balm…

  • Of Reinventions and Regrets

Well, I’ve calmed down a bit after my hair disaster yesterday, but it’s been replaced by extreme regret. I wish I had never touched my hair! It will take over a year for it to grow out, so 2026 is the year of the black bob. I arrived at school and the comments ranged from…
