If I have any readers, you may have noticed I haven’t written much lately. I’m feeling quite a bit of pressure at work recently. I feel as if there’s so much coming up like field trips, science open class, orientation day, Halloween, a speech contest and to top it all off a cooking class where I have to make something from my country (which they mistakenly thought was England, not Scotland!) I will get through it but it feels as if the next two months will be busy.

I feel like I’ll be judged on my performance, especially for the open class. Parents watching me is a nightnare scenario. I am not a scientist! Explaining motion, gravity and friction, etc. to 7 year olds in a foreign language is not what I thought I’d be doing. Anyway, rant over. It’s probably me who’ll be judging myself more than others, just like I do with my writing. I wish I had a ‘don’t care so much’ setting!

It was special to me because I had worked at the West Freugh Satellite Ground Station, years ago, tracking satellites…
