Tonight we are enjoying an Americano and a catch up with my fiance’s best friend, Mr. Lee. I’m having iced apple tea, as I don’t have caffeine after about 3pm. It’s so nice for them to see each again. They are chatting away in rapid Korean and it’s my failure that I cannot understand much and keep up with them. But it’s nice to see my fiance laughing and happy.

Earlier today we were a little less happy, more disappointed really. We’d been gifted some Indonesian fermented coffee as a gift and we tried it today. I don’t know what I was expecting. I like coffee but I’m not an expert. This was so strong and earthy. Maybe some people would enjoy it but it wasn’t to our taste. I’ve no doubt it was expensive and I felt rather sad that someone had wasted their money on something we didn’t appreciate.
