It’s Hogmany today! If you’re a Scot, like me, that is. I’m going to miss my mum’s shortbread and the bagpipes here in Korea. I spent the day slogging through the Romantasy novel Fourth Wing. It’s not bad but fantasy in general is not my thing. This was recommended to me by another teacher. Her reading choices are vastly different from mine, but I thought I’d try it. Anyway, it’s much longer than I expected.

2025 seemed very short. It flew by. It doesn’t seem like a year since we were in San Francisco on vacation. I failed at most of my New Year’s resolutions, especially the diet! I did read more though, and write this blog. That’s something. 2026’s resolutions are definitely to write more, to get the weight off, to wake up earlier and to try and save money. Happy New Year to anyone who reads this and best of luck if you make resolutions.
