We booked a car with Carjet before we travelled to Scotland. We had used Europcar before with no problem in 2023. Oppa has a Korean driver’s licence, but got it updated to be able to drive internationally. It has the translation in English. This time Car Jet told us they couldn’t accept it and wouldn’t give us a car! They said we must have the international driver’s licence. In South Korea they assured us we had the correct type of licence.

The men at Drivalia in Glasgow were apologetic but not helpful. The best they could do was a lift to the airport. We went in to Europcar and straight away they fixed us up with a nice Cupra automatic. We lost $750 approximately on the Carjet booking and when I called the office in Spain they said it was our fault and they won’t refund us! Next time I will stick to Europcar. They couldn’t have been nicer. They gave us a discount and had a car waiting there for us within ten minutes. Don’t use Car Jet!

It was special to me because I had worked at the West Freugh Satellite Ground Station, years ago, tracking satellites…
