Yesterday I was so hungry on my diet. I have lost over just 2 kg so I decided to award myself a cheat day today. I’m going to get back on the diet tomorrow. Back to counting calories. It’s really just one day. I haven’t given up. So this morning as well as my ice Americano from Starbucks I got my favourite toasted English scone. And I had mayo on my sandwich from Subway at lunch. It feels good to relax, for a short time.

Something else that feels nice is making or maintaining connections with people. I have tried a lot of social media this last year but only made one meaningful connection on Threads. I think I don’t devote enough time to social media, as I have been reading a lot lately, so maybe that is something I should work on. Many people are trying to get away from social media but I think it can be so useful for networking etc. as a writer.
