Today was graduation day for the kindergarten kids. It went well. We had rehearsed a lot, so on the whole it went without a hitch. The children all got their awards and bowed and then sang a song by Bruno Mars called The Day My Life Begins. It was bittersweet. The mothers and fathers all seemed to enjoy the ceremony and so many photos were taken. I was quite wiped out after smiling so much and being MC.

We decided just to go out to the local cheap place, called Rolling Pasta, for dinner. I couldn’t think what to make at home. I had a glass of red wine to celebrate the graduation but I wondered if I should. I always believed a glass of wine would do little harm and was possibly even beneficial for your heart but recently my fiance read sonewhere that even a small amount of alcohol is toxic and not recommended. I’m not a big drinker but I like a glass of wine now and then. Perhaps I should no longer indulge in the grapes.

It was special to me because I had worked at the West Freugh Satellite Ground Station, years ago, tracking satellites…
