The UK Society of Authors has, according to the Guardian newspaper, just launched a Human Authored logo that you can register for and have displayed on your book. I think this is a great way of fighting against the encroachment of AI in writing and also of giving readers the choice about what content they consume. Launched at the London Book Fair on the 10th of March,  I hope it will make a difference.

Another problem I have lately with writing is sleepiness. I am too sleepy to write. I always tend to be sleepier in Winter than other seasons and I am struggling to wake up in the mornings or stay up at night. So there is no time for anything but teaching. My energy levels are ok when I’m up, it’s getting up that’s the issue. I see the first hints of Spring in the buds and flowers so I can only hope that the better weather and lighter mornings help me to be less sleepy and allow me time to write.

  • Of Heat and Health

It’s getting so warm here. 34 degrees celsius some days. And it’s only going to get hotter as the weeks go on. I sweat away in the classroom because, if we put the aircon on, the children complain they are cold! As a Scot I don’t think I’ll ever get used to Korean summers. We’re…
