It’s getting so warm here. 34 degrees celsius some days. And it’s only going to get hotter as the weeks go on. I sweat away in the classroom because, if we put the aircon on, the children complain they are cold! As a Scot I don’t think I’ll ever get used to Korean summers. We’re going to Scotland at the end of July and I’m hoping it’s cooler than South Korea, although I saw the UK was experiencing a heatwave recently.

It’s so warm I don’t feel like doing much.  We exercise at night time and if you are lucky there’s a cool breeze. I’m trying to be heathier these days. I should walk to and from work but it’s so warm. That’s my next goal though. To stop getting lifts or taking the bus. I feel lazy and the heat doesn’t help. There’s been some bad news in our family recently healthwise and it does make me think I should not take good health for granted.

At the weekend we got the bus to Jamsil in Seoul and went to the Lotte Mall. In between Chanel and the other posh stores there is the Lotte Mall Aquarium. We paid for our tickets and went in. It was very crowded, full of parents and children. We were as fascinated as anyone else…
