A few weeks ago, before the previous teachers left, we went to Outback Steakhouse for lunch together. I ordered chicken salad. The seasoning was off as the chicken was too salty. The thing that I couldn’t get over though was how sweet the cheese soup was. The bread and butter were sweet too. I have experienced this before, in South Korea, with garlic bread crusted in a sugar glaze. I still just don’t understand why everything is so sweet.
Perhaps, in an alternate universe, there is a South Korea where they season things correctly. We are watching Dark Matter season 2 right now, and it’s made me read up on superposition, so that I can better understand what’s going on. It’s getting a bit confusing with various copies of the same character moving around different versions of Chicago. If you like science fiction though, I highly recommend this Apple TV series. I’m going to read the original book by Blake Crouch too.
