Today we went a drive to a local forest for a walk, and a look for chestnuts as they are in season now. It was beautiful, full of pines and chestnut trees, quiet and green. There was only one other couple there. I love the forest and fully believe it is good for your mind and soul.

The only problem was I am not very fit, and am very overweight. I can walk for miles on the flat, but South Korea is 70% mountains and this forest was up a steep mountainside. Therefore, I was limited in my enjoyment by my own body. I can see and feel a vast difference in myself over the last few years. I used to love going hiking. I really have to do something for my health and today’s outing confirmed that.

Yesterday, I shared a post about mental health challenges and how they impact my creativity and writing.
