Today we decided to go sea fishing. We drove 90 minutes to a small island near Incheon airport, and we bought our fishing worms, some coffee and some ramyun. The second we pulled into the car park the heavens opened and the rain came down. We ate our noodles in the car, watching people pack up their fishing gear and run for cover.
The rain never stopped so we decided to call it a day and head home. It suddenly seemed as if half of Korea had the same idea as us. The traffic jam stretched for kilometers. The day was shaping up to be a total failure. As we sat in the tailback, for over two hours, just to get back off the island, the only thing that made it bearable was stretching out and enjoying the music on AFN The Eagle, the American armed forces network radio station in South Korea.
